André Ocheduszko - biographical notes:

Son of a polish immigrant, he grew up in the
Vieux-Noranda. Very early, he demonstrates a
strong leaning toward music. Passionate for the
opera and an unconditional music lover, his mother
certainly played an important part in his musical
evolution. In his early teens, he haunts music stores
and invests his first paychecks to increase his record
collection. Part of the Woodstock generation, he is
responsible, in 1974, along with the Drolet twins,
Normand and Robert, for the first « Octobre » concert
in the area. This quartet's contribution to Quebec's
rock history is nowadays considered essential. Shortly
thereafter came the progressive rock band « Morse Code
Transmission ». The «Théâtre du Cuivre» was the
privileged venue for these two major events.

Cofounder of «Productions Pestak» along with the Drolet brothers, the trio seeks
the help of two other partners, Denis Frelas and Daniel Charron. After six months
of hard labor, their dream finally comes true; against all odds, they accomplish the
impossible with the presentation of a concert now considered historical. Indeed,
more than 3500 fans from all over the area gather in the «Forum de Rouyn» for
the launching of the cult album «La cinquième saison» by the legendary group
«Harmonium». Then, the sound of silence...

Later, from 1988 to 1990, he does volunteer work as security guard for artists and
technicians as well as stage assembly for the concerts of «Honeymoon Suite»,
«Glass Tiger» and the internationally renowned british group «Tears for Fears».

In june of 1994, to help some friends, he takes part in the organization of many
blues concerts at the «La Fac» pub; notably, he brings in Jack the Keyzer, the
renowned and talented guitarist, and takes advantage of this to offer local talent
such as Ponto Paparo a springboard into the world of show business. He is also
responsible for the first tour in our region of the greek virtuoso, the phenomenal
« Jimmy James ». To this impressive list, we must add his precious collaboration
to a concert by the ultimate blues performer, the incredible Paul James.

He is the founder and president of NorAndBlues productions inc., a company
whose reputation and credibility now greatly extend beyond the 48th parallel;
he is also the instigator of the first blues festival in Rouyn-Noranda, a venue
where many prestigious artists have performed.
